Founded with a passion for old school shaving methods, Black Eagle Shaving produces elite shaving brushes. It is a one-man operation that meticulously hand crafts each and every brush using old world methods creating modern and sophisticated shaving brushes.

With a vision of both beauty and performance in mind, the idea of Black Eagle developed in February 2018. A month later, the first ever Black Eagle Shaving Brush was sold. Based in Johannesburg South Africa, Black Eagle Shaving focuses on the International market.

Africa’s wildlife relaxes the soul and puts the mind at ease. For these reasons, the African theme encapsulates Black Eagle Shaving, creating both passion and awareness for the beauty of these animals and their surroundings.

The inspiration of the name Black Eagle comes from the majestic Verreaux’s Eagle indigenous to Southern Africa. With a wingspan of up to 2.3 m (7 ft 6.5 in), the Black Eagle is one of the largest Eagles in Southern Africa. This awe-inspiring bird is elegant yet resolute, it is based on these values that Black Eagle shaving brushes are created.

Black Eagle Shaving encourages donations to the Roodekrans Black Eagle Project, a non-profit organization that supports and monitors a pair of Black Eagles in Gauteng, South Africa. They are situated in the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Gardens and the current female is know to have been nesting there since the 1970’s.
